The Peony Society
The Peony Society
The Peony Society was established in 2000 to promote peonies as garden plants and to bring together people who shared a passion for them. It was obvious at the time that there was considerable interest in peonies, not just in the United Kingdom, but also around the world. The Society started out life as the British Peony Society, but a decision was taken at the first AGM to change the name to The Peony Society.
Everyone is invited to join The Peony Society. Enthusiastic gardeners, professional horticulturalists, botanists and nursery owners will all gain from being members, because they share a love of these beautiful flowers.
The Society’s website recently underwent a major overhaul and has been popular with members. Unfortunately Microsoft have issued a new version of Windows Explorer which is incompatible with Apple’s iWeb, which was used to design the website. Whatever it’s faults, Windows Explorer 8 is still the dominant web browser and it is important that we reach the largest number of potential members. We are sure that this is no coincidence, but as a result the website will soon be transferred onto Freeway Pro which should provide complete compatibility with Explorer. The transfer will mean another redesign, which we hope will be acceptable to our members.
